Description: The private house, built in the best traditions of minimalism and functionalism, is located in a quiet residential neighborhood - in Mezaparks. The house was built in 2006 on a land plot of 1, 020 sq. m. The authors of the design are the architect Ieva Samovica and designer Iluta Rode (XYZ). The total space of the building is 420.4 sq. m. The house has four levels - in the basement, there is a garage, utility area (rooms for heating system and water filters, a storeroom, laundry room), billiards hall, sauna, WC. First two floors include a sitting-room, kitchen and dining room, office, three bedrooms, dressing room, two bathrooms and WC. On the top floor (at the roof level of the building), there is a - tea house - a glazed room with fireplace and access to the roof garden and terraces. The building has a foundation and overhead coverings of reinforced concrete. The walls are constructed of expanded clay blocks, insulated with rock wool, plastered and partly covered with decorative tinted wooden planks. Partition walls of the premises are made of construction blocks, plastered and painted. Windows and glazed facades of the building are made of aluminum profiles and facade systems. Air-conditioners of the climate system LG are fitted in the rooms. The house has an automated gas-based heating plant (boiler Junker), two fireplaces, and it is connected to district water supply scheme and sewerage network. In the property, there is security alarm and fire-detection system, air intake system (in the basement), automatic garden watering system. Drainage and heating system is provided in the garage descent. In interior design, high-quality natural materials ( wood, glass), furniture, sanitary ware and bathroom fixtures, heating elements and lighting equipment was used. The ground floor has flooring of mahogany planks and rock flagstone, the doors and built-in furniture come with zebrano veneering. In the basement, there is oak plank flooring and oak veneer doors. The house fits in organically among the elegant buildings of the first half of the last century, and it is a contribution to modern architecture of Mezaparks. This house is recognized as one of the most beautiful and successful buildings in Mezaparks. Articles about the architecture and design of the house have been published in many architecture and interior design magazines.
